All production of MentorMed Implants is thoroughly sterilized. Double sterile packing ensures sterility is maintained. Bone depth on the side of the cortical plate must be no less than 1.0 mm.
Minimum 1.5 mm — measured from the implant site center to the next tooth, equal to about half the implant body diameter plus 1.5 mm.
The distance between two implants must equal half the sum of both implant body diameters, plus 3 mm between implants.
SLA surface represents the latest generation of dental implant surface treatment technology. Active and hydrophilic, it has a distinct multi-layered microporous structure: the oxide layer of the implant surface reaches 10 to 12 microns, and its entire thickness is imbued with micro-pores that combine with each other to create a multi-layered surface. This way, bone tissue grows deeper both in and between the micro-pores — significantly increasing implant surface area and strengthening the contact between bone tissue and the implant surface. Titanium oxide film is enriched with calcium hydroxyapatite, and the implant surface is kept contaminant-free, with prominent hydrophilic (absorptive) characteristics.
Research shows that the SLA surface stimulates active bone growth over the implant surface, resulting in stronger mechanical stability. This surface property allows orthopedic rehabilitation to begin at an earlier stage, and significantly reduces risk when the implant is placed under a one-stage procedure.
